NINTENDO 64 DEVELOPERS KIT SUMMARY

And no I won't sell / trade mine...

A lot of N64 development kits have been made by Nintendo. However when N64 development is ended next year, in all likelyhood all of the dev kits will suffer the same fate as the SNES dev machines. Returned to Nintendo and reduced to kibble. This is done for various reasons, one of them being a tax write off.

Modified and equipped for Nintendo by Kyoto Micro Computers, the N64 dev kit is the untimate in N64 hardware. When combined with the DD64 developers kit, it really comes to life. Unfortunately, DD has just taken a turn for the worse in Japan, with the only "A" title coming out being the Zelda add on disk.

Q&A:

Q: How hard are these units to get? Are the expensive?. Do they play normal games? RAM PAK supporting?

A : VERY HARD to get, and expensive. And they do play normal cartridges. RAM PAK is supported. To develop for the RAM PAK, you need the special sotware tools.

Q: What did this thing cost you?

A: Not saying ^_^; Not a lot. Really! It's all about connections.

Q: Can you connect me to a source, or provide the software libraries? Copy the BIOS for me? Give me Miyamoto's phone number.

A: No, I cannot. 867 5309 ask for Jenny.

Q: If you were threatened with a copy of Cosmic Carnage 32X <shudder>, and were so forced to name a place to try (finding one of these) where would it be?

A: WWW.DEXTROSE.COM's message forums. All software requests will be ignored as they have stated. Hardware rarely surfaces, but a best bet.
