Now this is a real rare and odd item. I've never seen it before. This was the first time.
Used in Japan to provide
games to hotel rooms. It fits up to 15 games. It's really odd as it has USA style controllers and light gun.
I've seen hotel famicoms before, but never one that looked like this.
What makes
it even more strange, it uses USA shaped carts.
They tend to put the most insane games into these. Want to try to finish off a game of Dragon warrior? Or how about Final Fantasy.
The labels
also face the direction opposite the slot, unlike US games.
The shape of the carts is obviously to prevent theft, and the carts probably have some custom pin configuration so that they won't
work in the US.
I'd love to get my hands on a cart and open it up. I'm sure it would be incredible.
This was on ebay about mid 2001? and sold for a song. I wish I wasn't in Japan, I would
have bid the house on it! Oh well.
