DIVERS 2000 DREAMCAST.

A Dreamcast/Monitor/ Teleconference combination machine.

Produced in small quantitites, the DIVERS 2000 Dreamcast is surely one of the most beautiful and desireable systems around today.

Unlike anything ever seen before, the design is immediately eyecatching. The curves and accents of the aquatic theme work exceptionally well.

 

The unit comes as a complete suite. It i s packaged with a remote, keyboard, controller, shake pack, internet connection software, teleconferencing software, a hands free headset for communication, and an instructional video.

While the screen is small, it is of exceptional quality and resolution.

 

The unit is loaded from the top. While this seems a bit cumbersome, the machine is an exercise in pure style. Functionality follows style here.

The unit has transparent sides, and there is a reason for this. The unit lights up while in use, and the effect adds to it's overall design well.

As you can see the "antennae" act as a hook for the headset. This unit is designed for close and daily use.

As you can see, the LEDS form a slight crescent along the side.

The camera is an unusual and ofter forgotten dreamcast peripheral.

Overall the machine works out brilliantly, and is SEGA's last hurrah. Where all else is sacrificed for an ideal of syle and form.

Q & A

Q: How hard is it to get these? Is it expensive? Are they easy to ship?

A: They aren't terribly hard to get. Even though they are on discount at this time, expect to pay about $800 or so from an importer. They are NOT easy to ship.. expect almost $200 in shipping costs by air.

Q: Should I bother? Is it worth it? Where can I get one?

A: I wouldn't really... It's nice, but not THAT nice unless you have money to burn. Of course a collector doesn't care much for common sense. Best bet to get one is of EBAY or special order via importers. Expect to be raked over the coals.
