CREATIVE LABS 3DO BLASTER.

3DO in your PC.

The 3DO blaster was put out so the then "cutting edge" games for 3DO could be enjoyed by the PC audience. PC games at this time were pretty 2D looking, with quake being the notable 3D game that could compare. It seemed a good idea to add a pretty powerful game element to your PC, and add another CD-ROM to your PC in the process. It was also a hell of a lot cheaper than the then $799.99 3DO.

The unit was very hard to find, most stores gor one unit per store, and never sold them until clearance.

The system came bundled with the ugliest and least useful 3DO pad ever created. Looking like a cross between Batman's bat-a-rang and a gay sex toy, it didn't help sell many of the units.

It used really crappy drivers, and the EISA interface really sucked. However, it's as cool as 3DO gets.

These get pretty decent money on ebay. And is sure to be considered the ultimate 3DO collectible besides the wavy topped Sanyo TRY. Now that is a sweet machine.
